We have been overwhelmed by the brilliant response we’ve had to our Christmas campaign, Santa Forgot. Thank you to everyone who has watched and shared the animation so far. We’ve been particularly touched by the messages from those of you who have been directly affected by dementia.
This beautiful animation, narrated by Stephen Fry, imagines a world where Santa has stopped visiting children on Christmas Eve because he has dementia. Luckily a kind young girl called Freya is on-hand to help – she believes that research can find a cure.
If you haven’t seen it yet, you can watch it at www.alzheimersresearchuk.org/santa-forgot
If it’s left you feeling inspired, why not support Alzheimer’s Research UK in your community or workplace with our festive Santa decorations for your Christmas tree?

If you have a Christmas tree at work, school or your local community or shopping centre, we’re asking you to decorate it with our beautiful Santas and raise awareness that dementia is caused by diseases and can affect anyone.
Each Santa decoration has space on the back for you to share your message of hope. Once you’ve written your personalised message, you can share a photo on social media using #SantaForgot or email it to enquiries@alzheimersresearchuk.org – we’d love to see.
The lovely Santa Forgot animation was created by Aardman, the Oscar-winning studio behind Wallace and Gromit, Shaun the Sheep, Morph and more.
If you’d like to get involved, simply email fundraising@alzheimersresearchuk.org with your address and the amount of Santa decorations you require, and we’ll send them out to you. You’ll also receive a collection box for donations.
What will your message of hope be? Here at Alzheimer’s Research UK, we hope for a world where people are free from the fear, harm and heartbreak of dementia.
